Department of Environmental Design
- Architectural Design Course
- Town Planning and Landscape Design Course
- Housing and Interior Design Course
An integrated three-course curriculum featuring practice-oriented activities
This department deals with a variety of fields, ranging from construction of housing, schools and museums, to community and city planning, landscape design and energy issues. By researching design technologies and concepts in an integrated approach, students seek to create ideal living spaces. In their senior year, students are assigned to a course-specific research laboratory to work on their graduation thesis or project under the individual supervision of faculty members. Students are also encouraged to engage in independent student projects and participate in design competitions, actively committing themselves to community events, local development projects and other practical activities in the larger world.
