Cross-disciplinary study of three fields raises students’ overall productive ability
This department offers courses covering the entire process of fashion and textile design, ranging from fabric patterns and stitching clothes to fashion planning and presentation. Students first study essential curricula covering textiles (dyeing and weaving), apparel design, and fashion planning. They choose one of these courses in the second semester of their sophomore year. From design basics to sophisticated expressions, this department offers students multifaceted knowledge and skills, to foster a strong but flexible fashion sense unaffected by passing fads.
